These terms govern your use of the website terrenassolar.com (the “site”), published by THERD SRL (“we” or “us”). By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
1. What the site is
Under the name “Terrenas Solar”, the site presents the commercial offer of THERD SRL for solar installations (panels, batteries, inverters, installation and maintenance) in Las Terrenas and on the Samaná peninsula (Dominican Republic). It lets you:
- learn about solar energy, our solutions and our services, in particular through our guides;
- get an indicative estimate with the solar calculator;
- ask us for a proposal, request maintenance or a repair, or write to us.
The site is not a comparison service: it presents our own offer. Installations are carried out by THERD SRL or by selected partner installers; the quote always states who does the work.
2. No-obligation requests and no online payment
- The site does not allow you to order or pay online.
- Our forms (quick request, full quote request, maintenance or repair request) let you send us a request. Only your WhatsApp number is required.
- A request is not a quote: it does not commit you to anything and is not an offer from us. Our team contacts you on WhatsApp to clarify your needs, arranges an on-site technical visit, and then sends you a detailed quote.
- We do not forward your request automatically to a partner installer. We only pass it on if you ticked the box provided for this in the form or, later on, after informing you and with your agreement (see our privacy policy).
3. Estimates, prices and regulations
- The estimates shown by the solar calculator are indicative. They are worked out automatically from your answers and from general assumptions, which we explain on the How we calculate page. Estimated savings and payback are only shown when the prices needed for the calculation have been entered and dated. These estimates do not replace a technical visit or a quote.
- The actual results of an installation depend on many factors: your consumption and habits, the roof, orientation, shading, weather, the equipment chosen, the condition of the power grid, and so on. No result is guaranteed, whether production, savings, autonomy or lifespan.
- Our prices are set on quote. If a reference price is shown for a package, it is dated and indicative: the final price is in the quote, after the technical visit.
- The price, the makeup of the installation and the applicable conditions are those of the written quote you accept.
- When you send a request, we keep for reference the package you viewed, any reference price displayed and, if you used it, the calculator result; none of these is a quote or a firm offer.
- Information about regulations (net metering, known locally as medición neta, grid connection, tax incentives, etc.) is general and may change. It must be checked, in its current version, with the competent bodies: the electricity distributor (EDENorte for Samaná province), the CNE, the SIE or the DGII. We do not guarantee eligibility for any program or incentive.
4. The quote and the contract
- Any contract is concluded on the basis of a written quote that you expressly accept. Until then, nothing commits you.
- The quote sets out, in particular, the proposed equipment, the planned work, the price, payment terms, timeframes and who carries out the work. We recommend that you read it carefully before accepting it.
- The applicable warranties (manufacturer's warranty on the equipment and warranty on the installation) are those stated in the quote and in the manufacturer's documentation. The site does not announce any warranty period.
- When the work is carried out by a partner installer, the quote states who the contract is concluded with and who is responsible for performing it.
5. Informational and educational content
- Our guides, FAQ and information pages are provided for general information only. They do not replace the advice of a qualified professional who has examined your installation.
- They are not instructions for doing electrical work yourself. Any work on an electrical installation, batteries or an inverter must be entrusted to a qualified professional.
- We do our best to keep this content up to date, but technical, regulatory or commercial information may have changed.
6. Illustrations
Unless stated otherwise, images and illustrations on the site are generic: they do not show an installation we have carried out or the exact equipment that will be proposed to you. The proposed equipment is set out in the quote. Only installations presented as our projects are real installations, published with the customers' agreement.
7. Acceptable use
When using the site, you agree to:
- provide truthful information and a WhatsApp number that belongs to you or that you are authorized to use;
- only send photos that are useful for your project and that you have the right to send us, with no identity documents or bank details;
- not send abusive, repetitive or automated requests, or spam;
- not extract personal data from the site, in particular with automated tools (“scraping”);
- not try to bypass security measures or disrupt the operation of the site;
- not use the site for unlawful purposes.
We may decline to follow up on requests that do not comply with these rules, and limit or block abusive submissions.
8. Intellectual property
- Unless stated otherwise, the texts and illustrations on the site were created for the site and are protected. Any illustration photos supplied by third parties are used under license or with their authors' permission. They may not be reproduced without our permission, except where the law allows. You are welcome to share links to the site's pages.
- The Outfit typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License; the icons were drawn for the site.
- Any third-party names and trademarks mentioned belong to their owners and are mentioned for information purposes only.
9. Links to other sites
- The site contains links to other local sites published by THERD SRL or by a company of the same group, listed on the Our sites page. Each of these sites has its own terms of use and its own privacy policy.
- The site may also link to third-party sites, for example those of public bodies. We do not control their content and are not responsible for it.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- We do our best to provide accurate, up-to-date information, but the site's content and the calculator's estimates may contain errors or have changed.
- The site's content and the calculator's estimates are not a commitment as to the performance of an installation. Only the accepted quote and the contract concluded on that basis bind us, under the conditions they set out.
- When you conclude a contract directly with a partner installer, as stated in the quote, performance of that contract is that installer's responsibility.
- We do not guarantee that the site will operate without interruptions or errors.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it, or affects the rights you have under applicable consumer protection rules, in particular Dominican Law No. 358-05 on the protection of consumer and user rights.
11. Personal data
How we use your personal data, including the photos you send us, and how we use cookies is described in our privacy policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, in particular to reflect changes in the service or in the law. The terms that apply are those published on this page when you use the site; a request already sent remains governed by the terms in force on the date it was sent.
13. Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. This choice does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, where they apply.
- If you have a problem, please write to us first using our contact form: we will look for an amicable solution.
- Failing agreement, the dispute may be brought before the competent courts of the Dominican Republic, without prejudice to mandatory rules allowing consumers to go to the courts of their place of residence. If you are a consumer in the Dominican Republic, you may also contact Pro Consumidor, the Dominican consumer protection agency.
