Who it is for
The Business package is aimed at companies in Las Terrenas and on the Samaná peninsula with high consumption or specific needs:
- hotels, guesthouses and holiday residences;
- restaurants, bars and bakeries;
- supermarkets, convenience stores and shops with refrigeration;
- offices, workshops, schools and condominiums.
In these cases there is no standard package: each project is sized from an on-site study.
How it works: a tailored study
- First contact on WhatsApp: your activity, opening hours, seasons and current problems (outages, bills, generator).
- Data collection: bills from recent months, a list of the main equipment and, if you have them, plans or photos of the roofs and the electrical room.
- Technical visit and on-site measurements: inspection of the electrical panels and roofs and, if needed, logging consumption over a period to see the real load curve.
- Detailed proposal: one or more options, with their assumptions, components, price on quote and an expected timeline designed not to disrupt your business.
Daytime consumption and continuity of service
Two questions guide the design.
How much power do you use during the day? Many businesses use most of their power during sunshine hours: air conditioning in rooms and common areas, cold rooms, kitchen, laundry, pool pumps. That share of consumption can be reduced with panels, with or without batteries. The achievable share is estimated after the measurements.
What cannot stop? Reception, wifi, security cameras, cold rooms, water pumps, the point of sale. For these critical loads, dedicated battery storage and integration with the existing generator can be planned, so service continues during outages.
What the package usually includes
Every Business proposal is different. Depending on the study, it may include:
- panels on roofs, parking canopies or pergolas;
- grid-tied or hybrid inverters, depending on backup needs;
- batteries for critical loads;
- integration with the existing generator;
- solar water heaters for rooms, kitchen or laundry;
- solar pumping;
- remote monitoring of production and consumption;
- a maintenance plan.
Manufacturer and installation warranties are specified in the quote.
Installations are carried out by THERD SRL or by selected partner installers; the quote always states who does the work.

Benefits

- More continuity of service for your guests and customers during outages, if storage is included.
- Fewer generator hours, depending on the design.
- A consistent message for environmentally aware customers, as long as your communication is based on real data.
Limitations
- The investment is significant and must be studied carefully.
- Available roof area often limits how much capacity can be installed.
- Work must be organized so as not to disturb customers, sometimes outside high season.
- Timelines depend on equipment availability and site conditions.
What we check during the technical visit and measurements
- The electrical panels, protection devices and type of connection.
- Critical loads and those that can be scheduled during the day.
- The roofs: structure, condition, orientation, shade, access and safety for working at height.
- The existing generator and how it is used.
- Seasonality: occupancy in high and low season.
- Technical rooms for inverters and batteries.
